Special School Board Minutes
Wabasso, Minnesota November 8, 2007
The special meeting of the School Board of Independent
School District #640 was held on Thursday, November 8, 2007, at 7:00 p.m. in the Board Room of the Wabasso Public
School.
Chairperson
Leon Plaetz called the meeting to order with all members present except
Margaret Wambeke. Also present were Superintendent Ted Suss.
Caroline Netzke
made and Orlean Stage seconded a motion to adopt the agenda as amended. Motion carried unanimously.
Nick Welu moved and Barb Hoffman seconded a motion to
approve the minutes of the board meeting on October 22, 2007. Motion
carried unanimously.
Motion
made by Caroline Netzke and seconded by Dan Dahl to adopt the following
Resolution:
RESOLUTION CANVASSING RETURNS
OF VOTES OF SCHOOL DISTRICT SPEICAL ELECTION
BE
IT RESOLVED by the School Board of Independent School District No. 640, as
follows:
- It is hereby found, determined and declared that
the special election of the voters of this district held on November 6,
2007, was in all
respects duly and legally called and held.
- As specified in the attached Abstract and Return
of Votes Cast, at total of 740 voters of the district voted at said
election on the question of Approval of School District Referendum Revenue
Authorization, School District Ballot Question 1, of which 479 voted in
favor, 261 voted against the same, and there were no ballots completely
blank or defective ballots relating to this questions.
- Said proposition, having received the approval of
at least a majority of such votes, is hereby declared to have carried.
- The school district clerk is hereby directed to
certify the results of the election to the county auditor of each county
in which the school district is located in whole or
in part.
Motion carried unanimously.

Leon Plaetz adjourned the meeting at 7:07
