Administration of Wabasso Public School uses a Site-Based Team, called the Site Council, in place of a school principal. The Site Team is composed of staff members, parents, and the superintendent. Some Site-Council employee members are selected by represent specific groups of employees such as the Wabasso Education Association, American Federation of State, County, and Municipal Employees. Other employee members such as the Counselor, Athletic Director, and Assistant to the Superintendent are ex-official members. Parent members of the Site Council are appointed by the ISD 640 Board of Education to three year terms that begin in August. Applications are accepted throughout the year with the new member being appointed early in the summer. The Site-Council, meets monthly throughout the school year. The meeting is usually held on the first Wednesday of each month at 3:15 in the School Media Center. The Site Team is divided into three committees: The committees are as follows: Student life and Expectations, Curriculum and Instruction, Staff Development and Accountability and Climate committees. Members of the Site-Based Team also serve on the Superintendent's Administrative Team and Cabinet.
