To add a link to your faculty website that shows in the School View (parent/student view) in Grade Book:

Log into Grade Book >

In the Menu Bar choose Scores >

Choose the class you want to work in and in the Select Action box select Manage Comments >

In Comments For This Course enter either the following text (Copy and Paste it into the text field) or type your own link message.

Where there is an Underline you must type your own username (which is how your web pages are named, usually your first initial and your last name). Replace the underline completely and leave no spaces. Replace (Your Name Here) with your name.

Test you link in School View (& call me if it doesn’t work).

This is enough to place the link within the Class Comments area.

Fine tuning: As a Best Practice I usually leave the URL as the “name” of a link because occasionally someone needs to write it down for later. A link that just says Bob’s Link doesn’t do me any good at all later, whereas one that says www.Bob-inc.com tells me where the link actually goes. I can write this down and use it later. That said, if you want your link to say Ms. Hamilton’s Website instead of http://www2.informns.k12.mn.us/schoolties/class/homeroom1.cfm?class=chamilton change the text between the tags only:
