| The Citizenship Award is awarded to an elementary
class each month. Anyone in our school building that notices
individuals or whole class behavior that is showing good citizenship
for a specific reason is awarded a coupon and the class that receives
the most coupons at the end of the month will then get their picture
in the paper and host the citizenship trophy for the month. We are
trying to promote positive behavior. Some examples are:
 |
Quiet in the halls |
 |
Walking in the building
|
 |
Using good manners |
 |
Helping out someone without being
asked |
 |
Picking up garbage or litter |
 |
Taking care of school property with
pride |
 |
Using any of the lifeskills
especially without being told |
It can be anything that is noteworthy of being a good citizen.
It may be a way for the classes to have some healthy competition with
each other on which class will get the award promoting positive
behavior along the way. Hopefully they will work together as a class
to achieve this.
