Community Education Advisory Council

Purpose:

To advise the Community Education Director as they seek to achieve a mission of providing high quality, beneficial and enjoyable educational opportunities to the community in conjunction with a process of citizen involvement and to share in a vision of community life enhanced by a wealth of learning and enrichment experiences that encourages personal development healthy relationships and positive values.

Functions:

To identify community needs, interests and resources.
To assess program effectiveness.
To make program recommendations to the Community Education Director.
To consider local area concerns which have broader policy, process, program or budgetary implications.
To foster support and advocate for Community Programs activities in the District and throughout the community.
